"Erik" was sent to Uk via the BALAI directive late 1999.
He was then a gangly BIG duckling. As we expect he turned into a big black swan and has now started to show the rest of the world who he is.
But it took nearly a year of maturing until he was ready to be shown and we expect that another year will do him extremly good.
His first show as at the Border Union Kennelclubshow in july and the he won his class.He is still a bit to playful to really make himself justice, but that will come just you wait and see!
Like his brothers he is leggy and elegant but still solid all over. He has attitude and movements and we hope that he will show all the UK judges and breeders what he's really like next year ( 2001).
Erik lives with Avril and Mike Lanchashire in their lovely house together will all the rest of their afghans. As it often is when the family has loads of nice dogs to show...all dogs have to wait for their turn to be shown and so was the fact with Erik too.
This year has been the year of Eriks kennelmate "Dwayne" but next year Erik will be more frequently shown, but still together with Dwayne and his sons and daughters.
Erik is very much looking lika a black and tan copy of his mum and her black and tan brother Sneak Preview in the same age, and we are pretty sure Erik will have the same bright future in his paws like they have.
As a producer he is destined to reproduce himself and his pedigree. His father has been Top Male in Finland for the last seven years! Several of those years he was Top Afghan as well.When Eriks brother "The Big Bang" got his title it was the 16th Champion for his dad, who is Multi BIS/MultiCh Scaramis Da Capo. His mum is from a long strain of topproducers and with this legacy Erik really has something to live up with!

Lancashire's Alphaville's The Pathfinder To Drishaun, superb b/s, just my type, perfect head, lovely chiselling, correct eye and expression, beautifully correct front, deepest of chests, correct spring, firm loin level topline, prominent well placed pin bones. Correct fall away and well set ringed tail, lovely bone, in superb condition. He really covered the ground on the move, steady and so arrogant, held held proudly at correct angle on long neck. An obvious champion.
